Szigony Street Room
Two private rooms on Budapests Pest side. The owners are living in the same apartment and speak fluent English and some Italian, German, Russian and Serbo-Croatian. The big room is 21 sqm, the small room is 7 sqm. 9th floor in a building that has 10 floors and 2 elevators. The big room has one double and one single bed, TV with Hungarian channels, work desk with PC and unlimited internet access including reception of many TV and radio channels. The small room has a single bed and another single bed can be added; radio and CD player. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with the owner. Kitchen equipped with fridge, microwave, electric stove, coffee maker, water cooker, toaster, juice maker. Bathroom has tub with shower; Unlimited hot water. Towels, blankets, sheets etc. are there. Ironing facilities, but no washing machine. Central heating. Safety deposit box. Close to a supermarket. Magnum sauna is just 8 minutes walk distance, Alibi 5 minutes, Action 15 minutes walk. Public transport: Bus 9 (e.g from Deak Square), Trolley 83 (e.g from Fovam and Kalvin Square), tram 4 and 6; metro stop Ferenc Korut, night busses 6e, 14e and 50e. Its gay owned and gay operated. The staff is always reachable by mobile phone for assistance. You may have guests for the night at no extra charge. At check-in you can get info where to buy tickets for public transport, stamps and phone cards. After arrival you will get a mobile phone free of charge with Hungarian number for use during your stay. If your friends would like to call they can reach you. Keys are available for every guest. Free printed gay map, a map of the town and tourist brochures are prepared for your arrival.
The apartment is bright, sunny and panoramic view over Budapest from 9th floor.
Big room: 1 or 2 persons EUR 40 per night; 3 persons EUR 50 per night. Small room: 1 person EUR 25, 2 persons 30 EUR per night. Every 7th night free!

You need to make reservations in advance. check-in only on agreement.
Airport
For transfer from the airport you can choose between the 'Airport Minibus' service and the airport taxi service 'Zona Taxi'. Both will bring you directly to the the address.
Airport Minibus: The best price for single traveller. Passengers are taken to the previously requested address by microbuses with eight to eleven seats. The rate is 2100 Forint per person (appr. EUR 8) from the airport to every address in the center of Budapest. It takes about 35 minutes, as the airport is in the outskirts. You'll find the Minibus desk after you've passed the custom. Seat reservation is not nessessary before arrival at the airport. If you already know when you'll need to go back to the airport you may purchase a Minibus return ticket for 3600 Forints.
Zona Taxi: The best price if you are 2 or more. Prices are fixed for airport taxis. Dembinszky Street is located in Zone 2 and your fare should cost not more than 3500 Forints (appr 14 Euros). You can exchange money at the airport. The fares are the maximum fares in Forints which Zona Service is allowed to charge. The journeys will also be metered, and if the meter shows a lower fare, then passengers will only pay the lower fare.
Train Stations
There are 3 different train stations in Budapest: Keleti (East), Nyugati (West) and Deli (South). See the taxi listing within our guide webpage if you like to take a cab from the station.
If you arrive at Keleti station take the red metro line for 3 stops to Deak square. Get out from the metro station. Take bus 9 for 6 stops and get out at Koszoru street stop. From the bus stop walk 10 meters and turn left into Szigony street.
If you arrive at Nyugati station you may take tram 4 or 6, get out at the stop Baross Street. Take bus 9 for 2 stops and get out at Koszoru street stop. From the bus stop walk 10 meters and turn left into Szigony street.
If you arrive at Deli station take the red metro line for 4 stops to Deak square. Get out from the metro station. Take bus 9 for 6 stops and get out at Koszoru street stop. From the bus stop walk 10 meters and turn left into Szigony street.
Car & Parking
The best would be if you get a map. You can drive from the Baross street into Szigony street. No problem to find a parking space on the street. No parking fees in this area. A 24h guarded parking area is in front of the building. The fee is 640 HUF per night or 80 HUF for 1 hour (verified January 2007). Changes possible.
